Dr. Michael Maddox has been married to debi, a lifelong oil painter, since 1970. During their entire lives, they have been wholly immersed in the arts and entertainment realm. debi’s artwork has been showcased at esteemed institutions such as the Dallas Biblical Arts Museum. She has also exhibited at galleries throughout the U.S., and her work is found in private homes throughout the states & Europe. Her art and home interior designs have been featured on TV and in newspaper and magazine articles. Michael and debi have authored four books: Lightning Bolts and Butterflies; Peace Freak; Wordivore World; and Visual Prayers.

Maddox is best described as an arts promoter, event organizer, author, and public speaker, with extensive experience in media relations. He has been interviewed on scores of television and radio programs, including network shows. Michael also produced and hosted a popular FM radio show featuring interviews with celebrated artists such as John Tesh, Olivia Newton-­John, Don Brewer (Grand Funk Railroad), Carl Palmer (Emerson, Lake, & Palmer), Dan Peek (America), & Dallas Jenkins (The Chosen). Michael served as an International Events Coordinator for over 17 years. He organized and promoted highly successful events at major venues throughout the United States and foreign countries. Such venues included: Madison Square Garden; the grounds of the Washington Monument; and stadiums in Nigeria, Haiti, Trinidad, St. Kitts, and Grenada.

Dr. Maddox was named the Executive Director of Transforming Lives With Creative Arts (TLCA) in 2010. He booked and promoted TLCA concert events with renowned performing artists including: Billy Bob Thornton & the Boxmasters; John Schneider; Judy Collins; Richie Furay; Pam Tillis; Branford Marsalis; Suzy Bogguss; Paul Overstreet; Stick Men with Tony Levin; Michael Martin Murphey; Colin Hay; Petra; Phil Keaggy; A Winged Victory for the Sullen with Dustin O’Halloran; and many others. Utilizing other Colorado venues, he booked and promoted shows featuring the Charlie Daniels Band, Arlo Guthrie, John Tesh, and Steven Curtis Chapman.
